Day one of the allotment blog

Being in the idyllic countryside that this village is would have not been complete without our own patch of land to plant thing in, so we put our names down on the list for the local allotments. We were told it might take a long time and that all in all - people don't give up their patch of land.. and we might be waiting for years. Not in our case! We were lucky to inherit a massive 4x43m long stretch of land. This was August 2009!
